Rowton Poplars Hotel offers dog-friendly rooms with direct access to the outdoors for easy pet exercise. The hotel provides a doggy menu and a water bowl in the room at a £20 charge for the entire stay. Ground-floor rooms feature lockable French doors leading to the garden.

Dining

The on-site restaurant serves changing daily lunch and dinner menus, including a popular Sunday carvery. Guests bring their own alcoholic beverages to the bar and restaurant at no extra cost, as the hotel only serves mocktails, soft drinks, and hot beverages. Happy hour runs weekdays from 5-7pm with a 2-for-1 cocktail offer, and live sport events are shown in the bar.

The hotel is a 6-minute drive from Chester city centre and 7 minutes from Chester Zoo. Liverpool is under 30 minutes away by car, and the Welsh beaches and seaside towns are within a 15-mile drive to Wrexham. The noise at the hotel was pretty bad. The rooms definitely aren't soundproof, I heard everything. The people above played music all night and I could hear every word they said. I'm not sure why they were so loud. There were also thick cobwebs above the bed.
